Ticketmaster lists ten new stadium dates on Metallica's M72 World Tour for May and June 2027, from Vancouver to Salt Lake City, with a public on-sale of Friday, September 25, 2026. Each opened at 10:00 in the venue's own time zone, so the sale rolled from the East Coast at 10:00 AM EDT to the West Coast three hours later.

These are Ticketmaster's public on-sale times. Presales aren't tracked on this site. The Las Vegas Sphere dates, January to March 2027, and the two November 2026 dates at Mohegan Sun Arena were already on sale and aren't part of this sale.
On September 24, the day before the public on-sale, TourTicketCompare checked resale links for all ten dates, at sites including Vivid Seats, TicketNetwork and StubHub International. That is normal for a big stadium announcement. It is also worth pausing on, because a listing that exists before the public sale opened was not bought in that sale.
It might come from a presale, or it might be a seller's promise to buy and deliver a ticket later. Either way, the questions are the same:

After each date's on-sale time, the Metallica page shows the Ticketmaster link for that date alongside any checked resale links. If the official sale still has seats that suit you, that is face value from the authorised seller. If it doesn't, the resale links are there. Match the stadium, date, section and quantity on each site before comparing totals.
The Metallica page lists every tracked date, including the Sphere residency and Mohegan Sun. Before a date's public on-sale, its card shows the on-sale time and no Ticketmaster button. Where a resale price appears, it is that site's listed price when it was last checked, with the time shown. It isn't the face value or a final checkout total. TourTicketCompare doesn't sell tickets or run presales.

The Falcon Stadium dates take place inside the United States Air Force Academy. Check the instructions for your concert before arranging travel: general visitor policy alone does not settle the entry arrangements for a special event.
Major tours now cross continents, and plenty of fans follow them. Buying for a show abroad adds a handful of checks that a home-town ticket never needs, from the time zone of the sale to the currency of the total and the rules that apply to resale where the show takes place.
A residency breaks the habit most ticket buyers rely on. When the artist, the tour and the venue are identical across every listing, the date is the only thing distinguishing what you are about to buy — and it is the field people skim.
